 BOSTON—GEI Consultants, Inc., one of the nation's leading geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firms, announced that Ryan Hoffman, P.G., LSP has been promoted to Boston Environmental Division Manager.
Hoffman will report directly to GEI Vice President and East Region Operations Manager Patrick King, P.E., LSP. In addition to maintaining his personal practice, Hoffman's new responsibilities include management of environmental technical staff in GEI's Boston office with a focus on technical quality, project execution, and client satisfaction.
A seasoned project manager, Hoffman has 15 years of experience in site investigation and remediation, construction support, and due diligence assessment. He also has experience with soil and groundwater management issues on numerous construction and remediation projects, including Brownfields, former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) sites, and industrial, education, and medical facilities. Hoffman is well versed in both state and federal environmental regulations and has an extensive background in ASTM/Due Diligence Site Assessment for real estate development and pre-construction evaluation.
"Ryan has shown both leadership and skill in working on several of our most complex projects," said King. "In this new role, he will continue to work closely with clients, while also providing guidance to members of our staff."
Hoffman holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Colgate University and a master's degree in geology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
